Finance expertises are central to Prudential’s business performance. Our finance teams must have the intellect and skills to analyse outcomes, results and trends, but also the ability to communicate these to the internal and external audiences. Our analysts, business finance managers, actuaries, auditors and risk professionals operate at the very centre of our organisation, driving and enabling key business decisions. As part of the Finance stream of Prudential’s flagship talent program, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future financial performance of this organisation.
What are examples of roles I might go into?
Regional business analyst in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Indonesia or Japan, where you'll be responsible for supporting delivery of the annual regional financial plan and for providing forecasts, analyses and commentaries of Prudential Corporation Asia (PCA). This means helping to provide functional leadership across your office's local business units, of which there are 30 operating in 12 countries across four business lines: insurance, general insurance, mutual funds and consumer finance. To meet this challenge, you'll need an accounting qualification or an MBA on top of experience solving complex problems to tight deadlines. Asian language skills, including Japanese and Cantonese, would be preferable, but not essential.
Alternatively, you could start out as a regional internal finance consultant in Malaysia, working across the Asia region to develop project approaches and taking team leadership responsibility on finance related change projects. You will need to have a recognised degree in Finance and Accounting/Business Commerce/Actuarial Science with outstanding academic credentials and/or recognised Professional Qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA or CFA). For this role, fluency in Asian languages, such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and Japanese, will be a significant advantage.
